What is Intimate Skincare?

We make vaginal health products for women that help restore and maintain natural moisture balance and elasticity. For women who are sexually active, we make lotions to ease penetration and eliminate painful friction.

What causes vaginal dryness? 

The most common cause is a decrease in estrogen levels due to menopause. The hormone estrogen helps the walls of the vagina stay lubricated and keeps the lining of the vagina healthy, thick and elastic. When estrogen levels decrease (“dry up”) the vagina becomes thinner and less elastic. This is called vaginal atrophy.

Childbirth, breastfeeding, cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation, allergy and cold medications, asthma medications, antihistamines, allergies to soaps, dyes, perfumes and other irritants can reduce vaginal lubrication. Stress and anxiety, including anxiety about sex, can decrease sexual desire and blood flow, causing dryness.

 

What are the effects of vaginal dryness?

Dryness causes discomfort, itching and a burning feeling during daily activities. It can make intercourse uncomfortable for both partners, which interferes with arousal and self-confidence. Without realizing it, you may be holding back from activities you enjoy because of a lack of lubrication.

 

Is this similar to HRT?

No. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is a treatment using medications containing female hormones that are no longer produced by the body after menopause. Body2Body personal moisturizers are a non-hormonal, non-surgical alternative to replacement therapies. They can provide short term relief to ease symptoms from vaginal dryness, itching, atrophy and discomfort during intercourse. For women taking hormone or bio-identical hormone therapy, our personal moisturizers are an ideal adjunct to their existing maintenance program.

 

Can your products cause irritation?

We take great care to ensure that our products contain no known irritants. All of our treatments are fragrance free, paraben free and glycerin free. For the overwhelming majority of women, they will not cause irritation. Should irritation or discomfort occur, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider.

 

Will the package be discrete?

We ship in simple brown packing cartons. Our bottles are clean, elegant and refined. Great care was taken to design a look for our therapeutic moisturizers that any woman would be proud to own and use.

 

What products do you make and which do I need?

We currently have three products with several more in development.

 PURE is a silky water-based moisturizer for everyday use. Practically weightless, apply a few drops morning and night to restore and maintain natural moisture and a comfortable feeling. Can be used as a lightweight sexual lubricant and is compatible with condoms and sex toys.

 GLOSS is a heavier, thicker silicone based gel to treat extreme dryness and for use as a sexual lubricant for intercourse and penetration. GLOSS is longer lasting than PURE and stays where you apply it. Will not stain, contains no irritants. Not recommended for use with silicone sex toys.

BLOOM is an personal replenishing serum enriched with peptides to enhance structural support, rejuvenate skin's natural elasticity and restore strength around the eyes, neck and cleavage.
